Protein Structure & Function

The Protein Structure and Function Program visualises the 3D structure of individual proteins and their assemblies to understand key biological processes.

The Protein Structure and Function Program zoom in close on proteins to define how they are built and how they work. Using technologies like cryo-electron microscopy and x-ray crystallography together with next level computing techniques the program deciphers the structure of individual proteins and protein complexes to reveal how they move or interact with other molecules.

Understanding how these molecules function improves the understanding of biological mechanisms and disease development and facilitates drug development.
