Center PhD project

PhD student

There is plenty of opportunities to do your PhD project in one of CPR’s research groups. We continuously accept motivated PhD students for projects. Specific fellowships are listed here.

Unsolicited applications

You are also welcome to send an unsolicited application directly to one of our group leaders. In order to find the best match for your background and research interests, please read through our research pages and contact the relevant group leader to discuss opportunities for a PhD project.

Get a head start with a research year

We are dedicated to ensure our PhD students have the best conditions for completing an ambitious project. That’s why we offer you to get a head start on your project with a fully funded (pre-doctoral) research year. You get the chance to test if you have matched up with the right place, while you learn to work in the lab and use our technological platforms. The research year will ensure you have reached a higher level of independence and knowledge when you officially begin your PhD project. If you are funded through a Marie Curie International PhD fellowship you will instead be offered to continue your studies for a fully funded fourth year.

PhD enrollment

PhD students will be enrolled at The Graduate School of Health and Medical Sciences. Additionally, students must enroll under one of UCPH graduate programmes. PhD students at CPR generally join either Molecular Mechanisms of Disease (MoMeD) or Biostatistics and Bioinformatics.
