Group competences

The Brunak group has a long history of applying machine learning techniques to investigate basic biological and medical problems. We do basic, predictive sequence analysis as well as predictive models that integrate molecular and clinical data. We aim not only for just making prediction of functional features, mortality and other outcomes, but also to use prediction methodology to understand mechanisms and their interacting components.

The group has a strong interdisciplinary profile and encompasses people of different backgrounds such as biology, medicine, pharmacology, medical informatics, statistics and computer science. We are interested in adding people with new unique skills that pave the way for novel discoveries.

The network representation below show a group interactome based on the frequency of daily, weekly or monthly contact color coded with basic training competences.
